Dr Alex Yusupov
BDSC (Melb), MDSc (Melb)
Alex completed his Bachelor of Dental Science (Summa Cum Laude) in 1989 and completed his Masters of Dental Science in 1992, both at the University of Melbourne. He opened his private Orthodontic Practice in Balaclava in 1993, and has more recently moved his practice to a state-of-the-art, modern, purpose-built facility in Armadale, Melbourne.
Alex has had a long-standing interest in Adult and Children’s Orthodontics, particularly in complex inter-disciplinary treatments. He is an advisory board member of the Melbourne Seattle Study Club, an international organisation devoted to furthering knowledge in multi-disciplinary treatments.
Alex is a clinical supervisor for orthodontic post-graduate students at the University of Melbourne, sharing his expertise and knowledge, particularly in the area of lingual orthodontics.
Alex believes in keeping up to date with advances in orthodontics and regularly attends national and international conferences, often presenting lectures himself. He is an avid photographer and conducts courses on clinical photography, digital smile design and utilisation of emerging 3D technologies to deliver better treatment results. Alex is always keen to embrace new technology where it enhances orthodontic treatment, and as a result, has recently introduced Suresmile into his practice.
In the little spare time that he has, Alex blends being a father to 2 teenaged children with travel, photography and a passion for remote-controlled aircraft.
Adam decided to pursue a career in dentistry after completing his secondary school education at Melbourne Grammar School. He graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours from the University of Melbourne in 2009. With a strong determination to study orthodontics, Adam completed his specialist training at the University of Adelaide, obtaining a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry degree in 2015.
Adam is an enthusiastic and friendly orthodontist who is great with young patients, and also enjoys treating adults. He finds it very rewarding and satisfying to see the positive functional and aesthetic effects that orthodontic treatment provides to his patients. Adam is fully dedicated to providing the highest level of orthodontic care to all of his patients.
Adam keeps up to date with the latest orthodontic advancements by regularly attending orthodontic conferences and lectures. This enables him to continually develop his knowledge and skills, to ensure that his patients receive the best orthodontic care available.
Outside of work, Adam enjoys keeping fit and spending time with his wife and 2 young sons.

Alaina Lendon
Our practice is proud to be home to the expert hands of Oral Therapist and Hygienist, Alaina Lendon. Alaina joined our practice some 10 years ago on a temporary assignment that turned into a permanent position. As a trained clinician, Alaina conducts orthodontic treatment under the supervision of Dr Alex Yusupov and ensures that the highest standards of treatment are maintained.
Alaina is particularly interested in ensuring that our patients maintain their excellent oral hygiene throughout their treatment and have a trouble free experience. Her friendly, relaxed demeanour is reassuring to even the most nervous of patients. Alaina is always keen to improve the patient’s experience and harness new technology as it emerges to further improve our orthodontic treatment.
Sofia has been working with Alex Yusupov Specialist Orthodontists for an incredible 18 years since starting in 2005. Whilst her qualifications are in Dental Assisting, over the years Sofia has perfected her skills in reception, administration and practice management. Sofia plays an integral role in keeping a happy team environment and we are so proud to have her on our team. Sofia is easily recognised by her bubbly personality and laughter. She enjoys creating a happy and cheerful experience for all our patients and ensures that everyone has a stress-free visit to the practice.

Irina is our delightful Practice Manager who is charged with ensuring that our practice runs smoothly. Irina can often be found supporting our reception staff in assisting patients. Her wide range of skills in practice administration and management make her a most valuable asset to the practice.
